Machaba Camp is situated in the game rich Khwai area. The name Machaba is the local Setswana name for the Sycamore Fig Tree, the tree of life. The camp is built in the classic 1950’s style, with luxury safari tents, en-suite bathrooms and living areas, not forgetting the romantic outdoor showers. All 10 luxury tents are situated on the ground and the pathways to the tents meander between the large riverine trees. San Camp offers four twin and two double tents with en-suite bathrooms and spacious veranda. Tents are spacious and stylish. San Camp is open only for 6 months of the year during the dry season (16th of April to 15th of October). Visitors at San Camp are encouraged to go quad biking across the lunar expanse of the pans, lie out on the pans as the sun sets, and watch the planetarium show unfold with horizon-to-horizon stars.
